Welcome to William Rhodes Primary & Nursery School

A very warm welcome to our William Rhodes website. We are proud of our busy, friendly school and our families who make up our wonderful community. As a team, we ensure that all children are valued, nurtured and cared for so that they can achieve their full potential and be happy in school. 

Values and ethos

We have high expectations of our children: within their behaviour around school, their academic work and their respect towards others. Our expectation is that children are ready, respectful and safe at all times and we work hard to teach the children the behaviours they need to learn well. Our children are our future and we do our utmost to teach them how to be well-rounded members of society and promote equality and diversity. At William Rhodes, everyone is welcome. 

Children need to feel safe and happy in order to achieve academically and we know that children flourish when parents and school work in partnership. We aim to be the school at the heart of our community and a place where children, and parents, know that they are cared about and can be heard. Our weekly celebration assemblies bring the community together and provide an opportunity for teachers to share the wonderful achievements and qualities of nominees from their class, so that the children, and their families, can be proud of their successes.
